Life as a stunt driver is pretty sweet! I get to live in a nice furnished apartment in Charlotte from A Home On The Go whenever I am filming a project stunt in Charlotte NC, and I could not be happier with the whole process and lifestyle!
I only got interested in cars pretty recently, within the past five years really. So I find it very funny that I am now driving stunts for a living!
My relationship with vehicles has been pretty typical up until this point in my life, I got my license at 16 and didn’t really do anything too crazy beyond donuts in a couple parking lots until a few years ago my brother took me to the local race track for a surprise racing lesson.
After that, I was kinda hooked on cars and what makes them handle well with speed variations, and whatnot. I wanted to learn more about engines and how to manipulate the cars to do cool stuff.
So I started playing around a bit on my own with my little 4-door again in abandoned parking lots until I felt good enough to show off to a few friends. On one such flashy occasion, a buddy of mine brought his girlfriend to watch me do some stupid turns by the wharf; but little did I know that she was working on a film at the time and in need of a stunt driver.
She came up to me at the end of the ‘show’ and asked me if I had ever driven professionally before. I told her no, but that didn’t seem to bother her, and before I knew it, I was sitting behind the wheel on a film set looking at my first stunt scene ever!
The stunts were pretty mild at first until I got some more experience under my belt, but then they got larger and a bit more complex. Eventually, I found myself driving for some pretty notable film!
So at the end of the day, it feels so good to be able to return to a nice furnished apartment in Charlotte and just relax. Seriously, this simple comfort is the icing on the cake and I have A Home On The Go to thank for the awesome accommodations.
Always supplied with every little amenity that I might need in order to call Charlotte NC home, I feel quite relaxed and very well cared for when I am working stunts and living in my furnished apartment in Charlotte.
