Having been commissioned for a mural in Northern Kentucky is one of the greatest achievements of my life so far. And I can’t believe that I also get to have my own furnished apartment in Florence Kentucky to live in while I am doing my work, thanks to Valley View Furnished Condos.
Studying art and murals for many years, I have been training for this kind of project for quite some time. I began getting a little bit of experience when I painted the side of my parents’ house with a unique design that they had picked out from my portfolio.
After a couple of their neighbors saw my artwork, I got received a few commissions around the neighborhood. It was a very cool time in my life because I was actively changing the face of this community to enrich the lives of the citizens through my artistic endeavors, and bringing a little more color and art to this place.
After I had finished my last house, there was even a news segment done on this neighborhood and I was even interviewed! I didn’t really think much of it at the time because it was really just meant to be a nice thing for my parents’ neighbors, but looking back, I guess this was the start to something more.
I got a call from the principal of an elementary school a few towns over who had seen my television interview, and she asked if I would be willing to do a special piece for their school in the gymnasium. Seeing this as another opportunity to build my skills, I agreed to the project and started a few days later.
I seems that word of mouth is my best friend and that most of my commissions thereafter have been because people had talked about my work with my previous clients. I am eternally grateful for this and have had many wonderful projects over the years.
And all of this has culminated into my favorite project so far in Northern Kentucky. Being asked by the city planner to design and paint a mural of the town’s history in the grand lobby of their city hall building has brought me to the apex of my artistry so far.
But seeing as this was further from my home than possible to commute, they called up Valley View Furnished Condos and got me an amazing furnished apartment in Florence Kentucky for the duration of my project. I couldn’t believe my luck when they told me about it.
So working in Northern Kentucky on my masterpiece is made even better while living in my own furnished apartment in Florence Kentucky. I am so happy with Valley View Furnished Condos and this whole experience so far that I can’t wait for tomorrow!
